pianti e risate ci diversificano tra le bestie,
la crudeltà ci accomuna,
primi nel perseguire divari e molestie,
con quale cura infliggiamo castigo e tortura,
privi di vari strumenti, vedute modeste,

privati del senso pratico, platea per le pubbliche feste,
arsi vivi su roghi rituali, siamo le ceneri delle foreste,
deteniamo primati morali, diffondiamo miscele indigeste,
congegni mortali, se il boia è maldestro ci falcia la peste,
un tiro al capestro, un castello di caste, l’incendio si è acceso,

cries and laughs define ourselves among the beasts,
cruelty unites us, we’re always the first ones
in pursuing differences and harassment,
we carefully inflict torture and punishment,
devoid of various tools, equipped with modest views,
primates with polite manners, fatal covenants,
privately deprived of practical sense,
impractical audience for public holidays,
set ablaze still alive on ritual burnings,
we’re the ashes of the forests,
we hold moral primates as inmates,
we spread indigestible blends, deadly devices,
if the executioner is clumsy
there will be the plague to cut us down,
nosedive in the noose, a castes castle,
the flames rage, no government lasts forever,
and one of these times, if this wind shifts up,
the sovereign will hang downwind,
heads will roll onto the floor,
the timber of time burns of inertia,
ember of an arson that never extinguishes,
the world stands still, you wouldn’t say that,
since every moment elapses,
it spins around performing a revolution,
we mark time zones on the globe,
every cycle severs a bond, no one is deciding,
there is no intention,
the sun always returns to the very same windows,
such is the recurrence of the firmament,
