about

Japanese fastcore veterans Fuck On The Beach join forces with Italian powerviolance heroes Double Me to deliver this blasting 7” of furious hardcore punk. Fuck On The Beach are among the first bands to play what later would have exploded as powerviolence, although not everyone is happy using this term for their music as their approach is usually rougher and always had a very personal edge due their experimentations with extreme punk sounds since 1996! Double Me are the core Italian powerviolence band at the moment (together with Repulsione and Failure to be fair), having played extensively throught Europe and the US in the last decade, being central for the evolution of the scene also due to their activity in the legendary label Here and Now! Records. They are scholastic powerviolence, and if this is your first approach to the genre you are in for a treat!

"…Double Me has them beat in the song ratio, but both sides of this slab rip pretty hard. One of Fuck On The Beach’s tunes is quite a raging take on Chaos UK’s “No Security”—songs both rip hard, but Double Me’s bass-heavy sound is this reviewer’s favorite. It’s certainly worth the time investment, that time being just over four minutes. Depending on how stupid you are (which, if you like powerviolence, is probably quite a bit), it might even take you longer to read this review than listen to the record."
