Musiche Delle Ossa is the combining, meeting and mixing of Southern Italian folk musics, experimental soundscapes and improvisation with expanded practices and technologies, traditional and contemporary.
Every Year since 2011, in the remote countryside of Benevento, Italy, a two-day event of other music Called Weird Barn Dance shakes the spirits. There, many underground realities from Campania and regions beyond, unite to play improvised music, electroacoustic noise, hip-hop and folk. This is the context from which The Turcos Mett The Little Devils originates. This ensemble sees at its core very close-knit duo, Giovanna Turco and Giovanni De Luca: using voice, guitars, accordion and traditional percussion instruments as the tamorra, The Turcos have for decades dedicated themsleves to the practice and study of the traditional folk music of Southern Italy; together they have crafted a folkloristic approach to experimentation and collaboration.
